  • About the job

Monday morning, 6.15 am. With a suitcase in one hand and a trolley in the other you are on your way to a briefing with your colleague. You have a long day ahead because you will be flying from here, there and everywhere today. For example, from Amsterdam to Bologna, then back to Amsterdam and on to Trondheim. On these short flights, you provide full service, sometimes under extreme pressure. And no matter how early or late your flight is ... you’ll greet passengers with a smile and ensure they want for nothing. You see a mother with a crying baby, you approach them and ask if you can help in any way. There is a passenger who wants another coffee, despite you having already done your round. As far as you are concerned, the customer is always right. As a cabin attendant you ensure the flight proceeds smoothly and you leave your passengers floating on air, figuratively speaking.
    Tasks and responsibilities
    • You are responsible for safety on board
    • You are KLM Cityhopper’s calling card
    • You take care of our passengers and ensure they want for nothing
    • You answer passengers’questions
In short: You do everything you can to give our passengers a pleasant flight!
    Where will you land?
There will be times when you go to no fewer than three different European cities in one day. That means no two days are the same and you have passengers on board from a wide variety of cultures. On each flight, you work intensively with an experienced cabin attendant. The two of you make sure everything runs perfectly and together with your cockpit colleagues, you take passengers from A to B in comfort and safety.

  • Your profile

If anyone is service and customer focused, it’s you. You enjoy making sure people are happy and you work hard, even if you have already had a long day. Because there are only two of you on board, you are capable of working independently and know how to handle responsibility. If your flight is badly delayed, you don’t let it get to you and you understand that you can make all the difference with your attitude and behaviour. That also means that you look presentable and well-groomed. Due to the variety of destinations and colleagues, and a full and variable schedule in which you can be away from home several nights a week, we put demands on your flexibility. You like that and can handle it.
What else should you bring with you to KLM Cityhopper?
    • A minimum of a senior general secondary education (HAVO) or intermediate vocational education diploma (MBO, level 3)
    • At least 1 1/2 years of full-time experience in a customer-focused organisation
    • Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English
    • You are between 1.58 and 1.85 metres tall
    • Tattoos, piercings and tooth decorations should not be visible
    • Your home address should be a maximum of one hour’s drive from Schiphol-Centrum
